MPH sale @ Raffles City
Got 4 books at $24 altogether. 1 for sis, 1 for emman, 2 for meself! Happy! I'm that kind who gets high and jubilant and feels a profound sense of satisfaction at buying books. Gucci, Coach, Prada, LV, Burberry's and blahblahblah? They don't impress me much.

One gone, another comes
Last month was a busy month. For the things that should have happened and the things that should not have. I met Bblics but 3 times. All were with our other friends. We didn't get to catch up, just she and I. But, like she said, we are tested on distance and time. Tested and passed with flying colours, that is. To be honest, I'm really proud of my best friend and the work that she's doing. Even though the work does take a big part of her away from everything else, especially her time with her family, which I know she really cherishes. The passage of time has passed such that the longer I know her, the more I think there is, that I don't know about her. Yet, at the same time, the more I feel that our friendship is safe and dependable even when we don't have complete understanding about each other. Or maybe, it's precisely because we do not have complete understanding about each other. Trust and respect are definitely more important than complete understanding where we are concerned. I guess, it says the same for a lot of my other friends too. Especially at a time when most of them are married or have entered mummyhood. It's getting difficult to see when dependability ends and complacency begins. In this age of consumerism, just how much time is friendship entitled to consume? Everyone has a different answer. Perhaps, certain things, you know it to be there not because you can feel it. But, because you can still do something about it. At this point in time, Kyn is back. We missed the 4 of us chatting and catching up together last month. Just talking. That's our kind of contentment.

one of those conversations...
We were talking about RCIA. me: If I take the RCIA course, you are gonna be my sponsor? em: Ya. me: Ok. How much? me: So, sponsor doesn't mean you will pay me to attend; it only means you will go with me? em: Ya, and if for example, you have any questions that you want to ask, and you don't dare to ask, I will ask the priest on your behalf. me: Ok... Are you sure if there's a question that I won't dare to ask, you will dare to ask on my behalf? em: ... Um... most of the time. We went to Bodyworlds @ Singapore Science Centre.
me: 20-30% of our lifespan is determined genetically. So, only 70% is for us to control.
em: Ya, that's why I'm trying very hard to eat healthy and exercise. I'm trying to make that a '71%'.
me: It says, to be a centenarian, we have to have a colourful diet.
dharma: Colourful diet... ok... We have a colourful diet.
me: Ya?
dharma: Ya... M&Ms has a lot of colours.
me: Right, M&Ms... Damn colourful.
me: Regular exercise too.
dharma: Ya, I do regular exercise.
me: Oh, ya?
dharma: I walk over to Emman's table every 15 minutes in the office.
me: Right... with the colourful diet in hand, right...
